Ken Van Alsenoy

Especialist in the treatment of MSK-related foot and lower limb injuries

 

Dr. Ken Van Alsenoy is a Belgian podiatrist with over 20 years of experience and specializes in the treatment of MSK-related foot and lower limb injuries. Currently, he is Head of Podiatry and an active Senior Podiatrist in the Research and Scientific Support Department at Aspetar Orthopeadic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha, Qatar. He holds a Master and PhD in Podiatry from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications.

Prior to working at Aspetar Hospital, Ken spent 15 years as a podiatrist in several private multidisciplinary clinics, mainly dealing with athletes from recreational level to elite. During this time, he was also a part-time podiatry faculty member at the Artevelde University College and a visiting lecturer at renowned universities, such as the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, the University of Malta, and several universities in Spain.

Since moving to the Middle East in 2014, Ken has worked as part of the medical team at high-profile tournaments and championships.
